At the annual ABB PA Partner Day in Rotterdam, Batenburg IAS was selected as ‘ABB PA Partner of the Year’. Every year, ABB awards this title to a partner as a reward for all its additional efforts to promote ABB’s systems in the market. Batenburg IAS was selected from among eight companies to receive the award for its performance in 2011.
The annual PA Partner Day was held on 10 May at the ABB premises in Rotterdam. Bram van Meel, ABB’s BU manager, warmly welcomed the guests. This was followed by informative presentations about the PA systems and offerings interspersed with demonstrations. Last but not least, the newly established partner portal was introduced. This was created to support ABB partners, who can download marketing materials and technical information from it in order to promote the systems properly in the market.
The day concluded with an evening programme in which all the partners were invited to dinner aboard the SS Rotterdam, the former (and now legendary) ocean liner that now serves as a floating hotel, restaurant and party venue.
The ‘PA Partner of the Year Award’ was also presented during the ABB PA Partner Day. ABB awards this title each year to a partner as a reward for all its additional efforts to promote ABB’s systems in the market. This year, the award was presented to partner Batenburg IAS from Zundert. Ron de Bruijn, director of Batenburg IAS, was present to accept the prize from Bram van Meel.
Ron is very proud to have received the award this year: “I am especially pleased by the reasons Bram stated for giving the award to Batenburg IAS. We are a relatively small partner, so the turnover we generate with ABB is less than that of the other partners. The award was therefore based on the added value that we offer to ABB’s clients as ABB specialists. And that means our ability to stand out!”
